Our commitment
HostGuru™ exists to create reliable, mutually beneficial space rental relationships between studio owners and practitioners. This cancellation policy is designed to protect both sides — to hold practitioners accountable for the space they've committed to, and to protect practitioners from studios that pull their availability without notice.

Studio cancellations
When a studio confirms a HostGuru™ booking, the practitioner has committed their time, class preparation, and potentially turned down other opportunities. Studio cancellations cause real harm — particularly close to the event date.
Under 7 days before the event
If a studio cancels a confirmed booking with less than 7 days notice, the studio is required to pay 50% of the total booking value to Fuesera LLC. The practitioner receives a full refund of their deposit. This policy applies regardless of reason, except documented force majeure events.
8–30 days before the event
If a studio cancels with 8 to 30 days notice, the studio is required to pay 25% of the total booking value to Fuesera LLC. The practitioner receives a full refund of their deposit. Studios are encouraged to reach out directly to the practitioner and to contact Fuesera LLC for support in this process.
Over 30 days before the event (first occurrence)
If a studio cancels with more than 30 days notice, no financial penalty applies for a first cancellation. The practitioner receives a full refund and a formal warning is issued to the studio. Studios that demonstrate a pattern of cancellations — three or more in a rolling 12-month period — may have their HostGuru™ listing access paused pending a review call with the Fuesera LLC team.
Valid vs. invalid cancellations
A cancellation is valid when it results from circumstances outside the studio's reasonable control: severe weather, documented facility emergency, public health directive, or serious illness or injury of the studio owner. Valid cancellations are handled with full empathy.
A cancellation is invalid when it results from a scheduling oversight, a change of mind, or any reason within the studio's reasonable control. Fuesera LLC does not adjudicate validity — that rests with the studio's honest self-assessment. We provide guidance when requested.
Studio rejection of a placed practitioner
If a studio rejects a HostGuru™-placed practitioner after a connection has been confirmed and a deposit collected, Fuesera LLC's liability to find a replacement ends. We will make a best-effort attempt to match an alternative practitioner, but cannot guarantee a replacement. The studio's rejection acknowledges that Fuesera LLC has fulfilled its placement obligation.
Practitioner cancellations
Once a booking is confirmed and the connection deposit collected, the practitioner has made a binding commitment to use the space. If a practitioner cancels a confirmed booking for any reason other than force majeure, their deposit is forfeited to Fuesera LLC and a cancellation strike notch is logged to their profile. Three strike notches equal one strike, with the following consequences:
- Strike 1 — 30-day suspension from HostGuru™
- Strike 2 — 60-day suspension from HostGuru™
- Strike 3 — Permanent removal from HostGuru™
Strike counts do not reset. The studio is notified immediately of a practitioner cancellation and we begin best-effort replacement outreach.
The 30-day credit hold
If a connection is made and a deposit collected, but the booking does not proceed because the studio and practitioner are unable to agree on terms during the introduction phase, the practitioner's deposit is held as a 30-day platform credit. This credit can be applied to any future HostGuru™ booking. If the credit is not used within 30 days, it is forfeited to Fuesera LLC. This policy compensates Fuesera LLC for the resources invested in facilitating the connection.
Force majeure
Neither studios nor practitioners will be penalized for cancellations caused by events genuinely outside their reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government-mandated closures, public health emergencies, or documented facility emergencies. In these cases, Fuesera LLC will coordinate with all parties on a case-by-case basis and will waive standard cancellation penalties at its sole discretion. All parties should notify Fuesera LLC as soon as a force majeure event is known.
How refunds are processed
- Refunds are processed through Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days
- Platform fees are non-refundable on all transactions
- Forfeited deposits are retained by Fuesera LLC and are not refundable under any circumstances other than force majeure
- Studio cancellation penalties are charged to the studio's card on file

Disputes
Fuesera LLC is not an arbitrator in disputes between studios and practitioners. We encourage direct, professional resolution. All payment disputes that require a refund review will be handled by the Fuesera LLC team within 72 hours. Any payment in dispute is frozen pending resolution.
Changes to this policy
Fuesera LLC reserves the right to update this policy as the platform grows. You will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use of HostGuru™ after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
